From Gizmag.com – Just unwrapped at Geneva is this extraordinary Porsche 918 Spyder concept car, a mid-engined two-seater combining supercar performance with just 70 grams CO2 per kilometre emissions and a fuel consumption of 3.0 litres/100 kilometres (94 mpg imp). Under those curvaceous lines hides a 500 bhp V8 plus three electric motors totalling 215 bhp offering a wickedly fast 0-100 km/h time of 3.2 seconds, a top speed of 320 km/h (198 mph) and it’s already done a lap of the Nordschleife Nurburgring circuit under 7:30 minutes, which is faster than even the Porsche Carrera GT. Buyers will be queued up around the block if (or more likely, when) this goes into production.

From B@rs – This whip looks like it came back from the future, Delorean status.

Face-Less Aurora Watch March 1, 2010

From Gizmag.com – The latest in our long list of weird watch designs is the Aurora Watch concept by designer Jihun Yeom. The watch features a faceless design that indicates the time using lasers. A red laser specifies the minutes, while a blue beam indicates the hour. With the wearer’s hairy arm visible through the watch it means that it’s always a freckle past a hair until the bevel edge around the watch ring is tapped to activate the lasers.

Aside from the images there aren’t any real details about how the concept would actually work. It seems more likely the ring would conceal two lasers that would rotate around the ring with the time, rather than having 120 static lasers crammed inside to accommodate all the necessary time variations.

From B@rs – This watch looks crazy nice. I would have to cop one just to be able to walk down the block and have people ask me the time, so I can stunt like you seniors ain’t got this, this is just for fresh men.

Microsoft built this new smartphone OS from the ground up, with the Google and Apple influences plain to see. The entire look and feel of the system has changed radically from the older Windows Mobile OS, which replicated the desktop experience on a small device. Indeed, even the code is brand new, replacing the older, program-centric focus of Windows with a more relevant Internet app and social networking focus.
